ECOCALEDON DRAWDOWN PROJECT PROFILE

Project Description:

Currently we are posting weekly showing some products that we all deal with on a regular basis that may be confusing. Are they recyclable or do they go to landfill? Is there somewhere that we can donate them? Is this hazardous waste? Why is waste management so confusing? Initially this was a short term project that is now ongoing. We are finding more questions than answers.

In future we will be turning the spotlight onto local businesses that are honouring the environment.

Drawdown Solution Tie In: ,

Community Group

We are a very small group of volunteers who want to help bring clarity to waste management decisions, for Town of Caledon residents. Waste management includes every item that you no longer want, whether it is a propane tank, plastic water bottle, worn out sweater, broken DVD player or plastic bag. Let landfill be your last choice when dealing with household goods. Find out the resources that are available in your community to deal with waste in the most environmentally positive way possible.
