Last Straw Toronto (LastStrawCanada)

Project Description: Last Straw Toronto

The Last Straw is an initiative that was set up to encourage bars and restaurants to go straw-free on April 21, 2018 (However it is continuous…)

Here are some details from the Web Site:

A group of Toronto bar industry veterans who are all too aware of the waste produced in the hospitality industry.

This project is born out of the desire to shift perspectives. Every time we serve a straw-free drink, it means one less item in our landfills, one less piece of plastic in our oceans. Small changes can make a big difference.

The Last Straw is a stepping stone to a more mindful approach in our consumption of single use plastics.

The project volunteers have been recruiting as many bars and restaurants as possible to join us in making April 21st be The Last Straw.

This initiative is ongoing so join in where ever you are…
