Owner Profile: Debbe Crandall, Sarah Crandall Haney, Sheilagh Crandall and Marce Showell
The Crandall sisters decided, upon inheriting their parent’s farm, to continue the tradition of farming and create the Mount Wolfe Forest Farm Community Supported Agriculture hub. Together, with 3rd generation farm manager Sarah Dolamore, they offer farm grown vegetables and fruits, farm grown chickens and have created a network of locally sourced (not more than 150 km) “specialty” items from companies, farms and bakeries with ethical practices in line with their own. The sisters’ parents bought the farm more than 50 years ago and added so many trees over the years that it truly has become a forest. A green house and some dedicated acreage have created spaces for the crops to grow and for chickens to free-range. The farm offers tours to interested CSA prospective clients and is a beautiful, lush, calming destination for those members arriving weekly and bi-weekly to pick up their shares.
